ANAGACH WOODS

Surrounding the town of Grantown-on-Spey Anagach Woods offer some of the finest low-level walking in the Highlands. A beautiful natural Scots pinewood, the haunt of the Capercaillie. There are several waymarked trails through the woods.

THE RIVER SPEY

An easy walk through the woods to the banks of the River Spey where you can sit and enjoy the tranquillity of the river as it flows past. Flowing from its source in the Monadhliath Mountains, through the Cairngorm National Park and out into the Moray Firth; the River Spey is widely considered one of the most important and productive salmon rivers in the UK.

From Grantown on Spey, you can venture out on the Malt Whiskey Trail of Speyside, a uniquely immersive whisky experience, sampling traditional Scottish whisky before heading out to the scenic countryside of Speyside.

SKIING & WINTER SPORTS IN AVIEMORE

Craggan Activities Centre

GRANTOWN-ON-SPEY GOLF COURSE

One of the finest golf venues in Cairngorm National Park area. The course was designed by Willie Park with assistance from James Braid. Nestled in leafy parkland it has a superb 18-hole golf course, very different in style, character and golfing challenge which attracts many golfing societies due to its charm and playability factor.

THE SPATHSPEY STEAM RAILWAY

Open March-December the steam railway operates nearby from Nethy Bridge, should you wish to take a step back in time and go for a ride on the Steam Train as it transports you through the picturesque highlands along the rebuilt tracks.

LANDMARK FOREST ADVENTURE PARK

This Adventure Park is just eight miles away by Carrbridge, the amusement park with a range of attractions, from Dinosaur Land to Roller Coaster provides fun and adventure for the whole family. A treetop trail runs through the park with many attractions themed around the landscape and nature.
